My first Patlabor fanfic. When I started it, I had NOT seen the entire series... now, I have. A few episodes will probably be replaced, at some future date, but completion of the fic is paramount. And Episode 07 is STILL the 'Lost Episode,' meaning that I have yet to finish it, and likely will completely redesign it.
Ohta learns he is being transferred to the newly formed Third Unit, and doesn't take it very well... also, some new recruits show up.
The tournament to place the new recruits into the various units is on. Kanuka goes to visit her grandmother.
Episode 03: First Day on the Job
The Units assemble for their first day of work since the reorganization. Kanuka confronts her grandmother about the medical report.
Episode 04: Birth of a New Millenium, Part 1
Kanuka appeals to Gotoh for a job. The Maintenance Crew discovers Natsume Kawai. Everyone prepares to celebrate the New Year.
Episode 05: Birth of a New Millenium, Part 2
A powerout in Tokyo leads to Rioting. Just when the SV2 gets a handle on the rioters, a plane crashes in the middle of the city.
Episode 06: The Life of Gomioka
Follow Gomioka on a typical day in his life as Captain of the Third Unit.
Episode 07: A New Sheriff in Nerima
Now a 'Lost Episode.' It didn't pan out as I wanted, and even the plot was unsalvagible. There are certain events that occured in it that will be referred to in future chapters, but I'll have a summary of those in the start of Episode 08. If anyone wants to take this off my hands and either revise and finish it or to completely rewrite it (based on the episode summary given in Episode 06), e-mail me... I'm quite happy to accomidate guest authors... and if you want to do Episode 11 or 17 (which I have no significant plans for at this time), ask and I'll let you write it... just let me know what you're doing, first, so it doesn't conflict with anything I have planned (basically, make them standalone or 2-part episodes- if it is a two part episode you want to write, I can rearrange the episodes to permit you to write episodes 16-17)

Episode 09: Curse of the Mechanics
Asuma's plagued by problems as he, Noa, Hiromi, and the SV2 mechanics head over to a mechanics conventions in Yokohama
All three units of the SV2 get together to have a nice, friendly softball game. Er. wait- did I say nice and friendly?
With the second and third unit largely decimated by the softball game and Gotoh actually taking the day off for a change, the SV2 is temporarily reorganized back into two units, one under Shinobu and the other under Gomioka. Shinobu's shift is rather lonely without either Gotoh or Gomioka around... what does she do when no-one else is there?
Episode 12: Last Battle of the Ancient Warriors
Unit 3's new labors finally arrive! There may be one last mission for the old ones, however.... And now that Kanuka is part of the team, will she or Seiroku be the unofficial 'third pilot'?
Episode 13: Patlabor: Personnel Files
Someone finds Gotoh's personal notebook, including notes on all of the members of the SV2. This episode may help those of you who are confused about who all the new (or almost new, like Gomioka) people are...
Episode 14: A Meeting With The Wolf
An unusual theft from Shinohara Industries has brought in some of the members of the second section to investigate- namely, Noa and Asuma. Instead of helping the investigation, though, they're appropriated by Asuma's father for a little tete-a-tete.
The ghost of Shinohara's Ex-girlfriend from high school, Kashima, shows up after he gets a little nervous and cuts things off rather abruptly when he and Noa are getting a little romantic. Why is he so nervous, and why did she decide to show up now?
Episode 16: Asuma vs. Noa: The Confrontation in the Hot Springs
The Second Unit goes on its second annual joint vacation. Asuma has something he wants to tell Noa, but will the others get in his way?
Episode 17: A Most Unusual Retirement
Chief Sakaki is forced into retirement, and Shige isn't sure he can handle the responsibilities.
The Osaka Branch of the SV2 is asking for a new pilot... preferably someone experienced. Will the candidate come from the SV2?
Episode 19: Unhappy Birthday to You
Noa and Asuma once more go together to visit Mr. Shinohara- this time, for a birthday celebration.
Kanuka heads off to take up her teaching position at the Academy, and the Second Unit joins her for the trip.
As far as I know, this is the longest COMPLETE Patlabor fanfic around. It, uh, wasn't supposed to be long at all. Oh, well.
